The programme helped me to understand the basis for our business. We had some awareness of how to deal with peaks, cost savings and other operational situations, but the course led us through the theory and fundamentals. It is a motivational tool, and a great opportunity for networking.

Back at work, the course provided tools that help to make decisions. I carry in my back pack a memory stick which I often use in optimising yard operations, giving coaching, sharing knowledge and inspiring the team.

The program served to me to understand better many other ways to measure our operations and enter deeply in the measurements that I already knew. In addition to Operations it helped me to understand better other areas like financial, commercial and maintenance .

On returning from the course, I focused my time in cost saving, analyzing every step of operations, trying  to reduce the costs. After this analysis we save cost in labour, diesel, electricity, reducing waste, time and other costs.

The programme is a great opportunity to balance port operation learning, experienced tutors and invaluable colleagues down the same road with values and interest in common”

It gave me the chance to understand terminal operations as a system, helping me taking decisions considering the impact on the total process and encouraging others to make the change for an overall benefit”

Honestly it was a benefit of my life and I learned a lot during the online and the face to face training, sharing with an extraordinarily rich group. The BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (BIP) was practice-based and helped me implement ISO2008 / 9001 in our terminal.

DP World Institute helped me to know better how to deal with peaks, cost savings and other operational situations.

It is a motivational tool, and a great opportunity for networking.

Back at work the learning provided tools that help me to make decisions. I carry in my back pack a memory stick with the Excel spreadsheets used for the exercises, and quite often I use them to calculate Yard Capacity and improvements at our terminal.

A good opportunity to improve the knowledge and skills of our senior leaders, interacting with co workers from other terminals learning different process and particularities from their business. It provided practical tools that help to make decisions.

That is a big opportunity to know more about all terminal operation and one challenge to sharing with your team and your leaders what you bring to give more results, for helping people and consequently delivering results for the company.

The programme helped me understand how to do my job; but more importantly it helped me lead from the front.

Advanced Trainer & Assessor Programme (ATAP) is very practical and well organized training for terminal safety, ops and engineering parties.  The training combines classroom knowledge and field skills perfectly. I am more confident in organizing and conducting training as I know I am professional after ATAP training.
